Fun fact: I haven't watched the Matrix trilogy before. I remembered glimpses of it as a child, but not anything I can recall clearly.
— Spoilers below if you haven't seen it yet —
I honestly thought The Matrix was about some stylish people in sleek black clothing dodging bullets slowly and doing extreme parkour here and there. I didn't think it would be about living in a simulation and waking up to a dystopian reality where the Machines took over humanity. Cool stuff. Now I get why it's one of the most watched and popular movies of all time.
Any we're-living-in-a-simulation stans reading this? My take is there's no way for us to find out if we are living in one, unless Trinity approaches us or something, so just spend the days living as we currently are. Make the best out of each day. Unless if you decide to take a trip or get high, then have fun theorising this.
I didn't I would binge watch it in one whole night-morning. I started from 8pm and didn't think I would continue the entire trilogy, but by the time it was 1.30 am I stopped because I was toooo sleepy. I continued the very next morning.
Definitely worth the watch if you haven't seen it yet.
