Day 46 - Note-taking

In December, I attended and finished Anne-Laure's collector to creator course. It was one of those things where I don't follow through it in the beginning until later on. Later on is now.

I'm rethinking my approach to note-taking now, because I'm planning to write and publish more. My current plan is one thread a week, and one blog post a month.

Why I'm deciding to write more? It's because I want to get better at 1) writing, of course, and 2) thinking clearly and critically. It's high time I get into this. For so long I have been quite insecure about my writing, ever since I started writing fiction in high school days. I used to write a lot of fanfiction but I fell short because I kept comparing myself to other writers and I convinced myself it wasn't something I should continue with as there were no benefits to it. How wrong was I on that? Not only did I stop writing fiction, but I think I've also completely underestimated how valuable writing is until recent years. I envy everyone who's capable of articulate clearly their thoughts into words.

Back to topic, I can't write about anything and everything. Hence I've reviewed my notes again from her course and planned a system to manage my content from consumption to collection to creation aka the actual writing piece.

I've been saving a lot of highlights for the past few months but I haven't made much progress on it yet. That will change from this weekend onwards. I badly want to be a better writer, but I know it won't be an overnight improvement. It might take me years. In the meantime, I'll try to focus on the now and just keep writing. Wish me luck.
