Life is too short to stress about work. Most of the work stress are temporary, and won't matter in the long term. I would definitely tell this to my 22-23 year old self. I was honestly uptight about work then. Thinking back I feel bad for the stress she had to go through, so that's why I want to be more mindful on how I spend my energy and manage my emotions better at work.
Not to say I've got it all figured out. For example, today I stressed myself out testing flows for a release. Nothing seems to be going right yet. Fast forward to the evening, I'm no longer thinking about it. I'll do it again tomorrow but I need to remind myself that this stress is temporary. It can be let go after.
I just remembered this tweet by Shreyas a week ago, and I'm going to try it out from today onwards. I'll jot down my thoughts and how I cope with the stress. By the time I have enough entries, I hope I can manage my stress a bit better and perhaps share some about it too!
