Two weeks ago I started writing 100 words a day. Yesterday I shared a small win. And it seemed like it resonated with a lot of people.
It's hard to make something a habit if you aren't clear about your goal. I managed to make mine work because my goal is a bit more realistic.
Instead of "I want to write every day", it's "I want to write 100 words every day". 100 words may not sound worthy enough to be a goal, but it's easy enough to achieve and almost impossible to fail. To top it off, I have a strong desire to become a better writer.
If you look at my other habits, one of them is going well too and the rest of them... not so much. It's hard to track so many things in one day. We only have a finite of time. Prioritise what's important to you now. Then work on the rest later on. It's ok to say 'not now'. You can always start later when you're ready.
