I feel sluggish this week, especially at work. I tell myself it's probably just a rough week, but I tell myself that every other week. The signs I'm feeling are burning out sighs - losing focus and concentration, mentally exhausted, and easily irritable.
I still haven't pinpointed what is causing my burnout. It could be the stress and pressure I'm putting myself, unable to prioritise the amount of work, lack of communication, or something else.
It's good to at least identify first:
- The signs
- The causes
And also have a list of self-care routines to put yourself into. It may not help for the long term, but at least it will help you destress for the time being until you can figure how you can get yourself out of the rut or burnout.
I have an idea why I'm facing it but I don't think I'll be able to get out of it anytime soon. If you're the same, try to take care of yourself and take it easy. When you need the break, take that break and don't feel bad about it.
