VSJO edition! Also a bit of cheating here again because I wrote about it on the thread already:

After the launch, I assumed everything was fine and dandy. I could focus on building the actual product now. People were signing up for the app. So that was great. ...Until recently I received feedback from a few people who were excited to try drawing on the app. Drawing? I was confused at first, but now I see where they are coming from. First impressions are important. Your landing page tells your users everything they need to know. Despite the mentions of taking photos (as a visual focus) in the copy, people are drawn (lol) to the visual aspect of my landing page first.
Like social media posts, we notice the image first before the caption. In my case, I used this illustration style solely for aesthetic purposes. However, they appear doodled, and the use of paper/pen illustrations gives the impression there is drawing is involved.

These things happen. I'm not too bothered by it, now that I managed to catch it early with the help of the people I talked to! We make mistakes, fix them, learn from them (and share them), then move on. And we can always go back to improve our launched products.
Some tips to avoid though: • Before (or even after) launch, ask your friends (who don't know about your product) for initial thoughts • Better yet, ask the people who signed up for it • That nagging feeling in the back of your head? Try to address that
