Overthinking can really mess you up if you're not careful. I think I'm better at it now.

There was a troublesome situation I had to deal with today that was concerning work and the co-working space I subscribed to. Let's just say I was annoyed that no one was giving me a clear direction on how to proceed with the issue. The issue didn't concern me that much but I was annoyed because I was putting effort into it when no one else was. When it finally hit me that if no one is worrying, then I guess I'll just wait patiently until someone calls it out. I was overthinking a lot of what ifs if I didn't do anything about it but turns out no one seemed to care (yet).

Another situation - I meant to call the airlines to reschedule my flight tickets that I bought last year. They don't do refunds so all I can do is reschedule them. I've been putting off this call for 2 weeks. I hate calls. It's an introvert thing, isn't it? I see memes of it all the time. But when we actually pick up the phone and call, the overthinking and anxiety disappear. The call went perfectly fine. Can someone explain this science? Why are we like this. Why are we anxious about phone calls.

Either way, let's try to reduce overthinking. It's all in our head. Our thoughts love playing with us. They come and go like hide and seek. What we need to do is to make a choice to ignore them or accept them.
