Sort of a continuation of my previous post...

Without revealing too much detail, the stress of not looking like I'm doing enough is a weird one. Questioning if it's worth stressing about, if it's worth putting so much energy into being productive. I honestly have half the mind to letting everything go because I've honestly been so tired. I tell myself I'm a bit better at not tying my productivity and worth to my job, but I wonder how true is that. There's still a long way to go.

I want to yell out from my balcony — "IT'S OKAY TO NOT BE PRODUCTIVE. WE'RE IN A FUCKING PANDEMIC AND THE POORLY PLANNED LOCKDOWNS AREN'T FUCKING HELPING ANYONE".

Makes you wonder how much employers care about their employees. Working from home? You should have more time than ever to work since you can't leave the house or do anything else. We need to monitor your every movement. Once the lockdown is lifted, get back to the office. We don't trust you.

I do understand that there are people who slack off. Then, set an objective for the task and a deadline for them. If they can't achieve that, then get on a call with them. If they do, then what's the problem?

Yes, employers want to keep the business afloat. But everyone else is tired and burnout and frustrated over the incompetency of the way the pandemic is being handled. The last thing they want is their work productivity questioned.
