Day 91 - Awkward timing

So, something happened today.

Someone at work told me they're resigning from the company. It was a shock, because it's not going to be the same with them in the company. In that moment, my first thought wasn't a total shock. It was along the lines of "well... this is awkward because I'm planning to leave the company some time this year but you beat me to it".

I told them about it too.

I can't remember their reaction though but it was probably like an "Oh".

This person leaving sealed the deal for me to leave the current job this year, maybe even earlier now. I'd like to think that this is a sign from the Universe. It sounds cheesy, but there were a few other instances that occurred to me that validated my decision too. Maybe it's apophenia, but I'd like to believe that it's still something since I can't trust myself with this decision to leave.

I think I have pretty much decided but it's just a matter of when. Now it's a race between my courage to take that leap or my burnout. Place your bets, folks. I think they'll come in really close.
