My plan was to first set up a small landing page for my new project — a site dedicated to the campsites around Kanto region of Japan on Yuru Camp.

I was quite set on Webflow because I built buttermilkart.com on it already, and I'm happy with my skills in it. It didn't take me that long to set up a small page first but when I tried to connect my custom domain (https://laidback.camp)... I just found out that for every site I want to publish on a custom domain, I need to purchase another new site plan. It's going to be on top of the current site plan I'm already paying for for Buttermilk.

I didn't actually think I needed to purchase another plan. I had thought there could be a limit like up to 2 sites per plan, but it didn't cross my mind AT ALL that it's one site per plan.

So now I'm looking for Webflow alternatives. Briefly tried to look for some already, but they don't look promising. Typedream, Dorik... They seem to be mainly for landing pages. I want something that has CMS features. If I'm going to look for other tools like Squarespace, Wix... I might as well use Webflow.

Which brings me to my next thought about cleaning my ongoing subscriptions... I might need to take a thorough look at what I actually need (or not). For example, Adalo — I'm using it to build my other project vsjo.xyz. It's sad that I'm thinking of axe-ing it, because it costs a lot each month. I'm lucky I'm paying half the price already because of On Deck perks, but after 3 months, I'll be paying for the full price. So most likely I'll take it off from the paid plan. I think it'll still work for everyone but it will no longer be on a custom domain. I'll need to work out the logistics (ie let everyone know), so let's see when that time comes.
